Cable TV
We were perfectly happy without cable television. We were contented watching the local shows and some foreign ones shown on the local channels. But we were missing the travel shows and the cooking shows and the ambush makeovers
So I had cable tv installed last week. Finally. Some would probably think me archaic because almost all households now have cable tv. But as I’ve said, we’re happy with the local channels.
Well, until the recent downpour of typhoon Cosme. Something happened to our outdoor antenna and the reception went blah. My dad was getting edgy because of the NBA games and the news so instead of getting a new antenna, I went ahead and called up Global Destiny. They went the next day and after 15 minutes of installing the wires and all, cable was on! Their people were very efficient and polite. Unlike those Sky Cable people who had ‘Peso’ on their forehead when they went here. We weren’t able to get their names but the minute they saw that they could ask for some money, they dropped hints that it would be difficult to put up the wires, we would need to pay for the extra cabling and all, blah blah blah. If I were here that time, they would have a gotten a piece of my mind.
Course Destiny has no AXN and Lifestyle Network. But they have ETC, Living Asia and Travel & Living so that’s just fine with me. And as long as Jamie Oliver’s shows are there
For fun or real money
There are days when you feel so sluggish and you just want to be able to sit back and not think of anything else. When this happens, my friend often spends his weekend inside his room. He sleeps late, goes out of his room to eat his meals only then goes back in to just laze around, watch tv and play Online Casino. This weekend retreat refreshes him and gives him the energy he needs to be able to take on the weeks ahead.
He learned to play online casino from his friends in the office. The IT guys know how to play so they thought the other guys in the office. He plays once in a while, for fun. His co-workers play for fun as well, but they also play for real money sometimes. It is an event for the guys because what they do is, they go to a house on a Saturday afternoon, they bring their laptops with them and they play online casino together. They drink and have some fun during this time. It is all fun, really.
Now, where do you download and play online casino games for fun or real money? Well, go to Online Casino Topic to read reviews written by their editors. Get the real deal from the number one online casino gambling resource on the web. Go to OnlineCasinoTopic.com now for more information on online casino.
Still David Cook all the way!
No matter what happens, no matter what the results are tomorrow, David Cook is the winner for me! He’s the one who took more risks. He really gave his all in each of his performances. Never had he forgotten lyrics of his songs. And who made old songs sound new?
David Cook.
Just remember Billie Jean, Hello and Always Be My Baby.
Enough said.

Food allergies
I am allergic to seafoods. I get large welts when I eat it. I am more allergic to shrimps and squid, less on fishes. But whenever I got to eat some, I immediately feel this overwhelming itchiness in and out of my mouth. And then I will start feeling my lips swelling. When I feel this way, I eat something sweet right away. This has been the way I deal with this allergy of mine for years now. Unlike other kinds of allergy, I got mine when I turned eighteen. I remember one of my favorite dishes was, and still is, camaron rebusado. This type of dish is composed of shrimp rolled on bread crumbs and fried. I love this food! I was eating it when all of a sudden I felt lightheaded and I felt my lips swelling. I went to the doctor the next day and that’s when I learned that I am allergic to seafoods already. My mom was also allergic to seafoods and hers manifested when she had her second child, my sister.
I found a web site that is the newest web resource for various food allergies. I am talking about AllergicToIt.com, a web site is designed to be a resource for people suffering from food allergies. Using the site, users will be able to look up products that are safe given a certain food allergy. They’ll also be able to add and modify existing product information once a site is created. Great huh?
Go to the site now if you want to know more about a certain food allergy.
A new home
My sisters and I love looking at architectural magazines wherein they feature really lovely homes. We found some that we really like and are thinking of making ours. I mean, we have cousins who are architects. We asked them to draw our ideal home. We have been surfing the net for months now and we bookmarked a lot of furniture that we love and would like to buy once our dream house is built already. Do you know what’s the only thing that’s stopping us from starting that dream home? Funds!
So I am looking for an institution that would extend to us a construction loan. An amount that will be more than enough to finance the building of our ideal home. It will not really be that costly because we are only thinking of a single-storey house. We don’t really like a two or three-storey house because we are used to being together in a single place. Our ideal home would have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a big living room, a dining room, a storage at the back of the house and a single car garage.
I can’t wait for our ideal home to be built. If you are also looking for construction loan to finance that ideal home, then go to ConstructionLoanCenter.com now.
New York minute
My friend Lynn is coming home in a few weeks. She is actually asking me for a New York City travel when she goes back to the Big Apple after two weeks. Makes me think… It’ll be a good travel, that’s for sure. I’ve never been to New York and Lynn is a such a fun person to be with. So I might, it will just depend on the way my budget will be come mid-August. We’ll see…
Forgetfulness
My forgetfulness struck again! My brother was asking me to buy him patch panels but well, I completely forgot about it. My brother was mad at me because he really needs it. I think he will use it for a project that he’s doing. I will go back to the computer shop but it was already close to midnight.
Oh well, I said sorry and I really am. I need some brain vitamins!
Four countries, one trip
My aunt Wilma will be traveling over a period of 1 month to Hong Kong, Macau, China and Dubai. Her boss wants the two of them to meet business partners in these four countries for the recruitment agency she is employed as a general manager. Because it will take her four weeks on the trip, I told her that she should just buy a Swiss Army expandable suiter to accommodate all her clothes and accessories.
I can tell that she is excited with her trip even though this is not for pleasure. It will be her second time in Hong Kong but first time with the three other countries. Well, if given a chance to travel like that, I would surely be more excited than her.
Diet program
Been reading a lot about diet pills and its effect in our body. My aunt was advised by her cardiologist to go on a diet. She’s having problems with her weight. Even though she is watching what she eats, it is still hard for her to lose weight. She runs on weekends. But still…
So her cardiologist referred her to a dietitian and a nutritionist. The two are helping her lose weight with the proper diet. But her doctor also advised her to take diet pills, the one he prescribed to aid her diet program.
Good news is, she lost 20 pounds already, over an eight-month period. Not bad, don’t you think?
Internet speed
I am so darn tired of complaining to my service provider about my internet connection speed. You see, I am paying for up to 1258 kbps internet connection speed. My local provider is Bayantel. For a few days now, I have noticed the decline in the speed of my connection. I noticed that it takes a while before a blog loads that normally loads faster before. I complained at Bayantel’s customer service and they reset the modem. After that, the connection speed improved but after 30 minutes or so, it declined once more. And even right at this very moment, the connection speed I am getting is 1/6 of the speed that I am paying for. Let me just stress this one… I pay on time! There were months that I even paid in advance because I don’t want any hassle with my internet connection as this is the life of my work.
I complained again last night about this. And do you know what? All this time I did not know how to check my internet connection speed until the kind CS told me about this website…
They should have told me this a long time ago! I was relying on them to make sure everything was working fine. All this time, there are hours in a day that I am getting a measly portion of what I am paying for. This pisses me off big time! Wait until I get really mad at them and I will go to their office to give their officer a piece of my mind.Anyway, I have asked that a technician from Bayantel schedule a check up of my modem and other things related to my DSL connection. If the situation will not improve, then I will say goodbye to Bayantel. Any local DSL provider that you can recommend?
If you are experiencing the same slow connection and is doubtful about the internet connection speed that you are getting, check out SpeedTest.net because it will really give you an accurate speed of your connection.

David Cook wins the night!
I sooo love David Cook and I really do wish he’ll win this season’s American Idol! Here’s the LINK of his performance tonight, Roberta Flack’s The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face…
When he said a few lines of his second song to Ryan Seacrest, my sister and I screamed. Dare You To Move by Switchfoot is one of our all time favorite songs. The guy can make you swoon! Just love him.
*Dare You To Move is on repeat mode…
