Fathers and their rights

Fathers Rights. They have rights, too, you know. We were not really close to my dad. I mean we love him and all but we really don’t talk to him that much. We were always talking with my mom instead. Maybe it was because we were girls and we grew up closer to my mom when my dad was always in the office. But when my mom died a few years ago, we grew closer to my dad. He does chores in the house and takes care of us now.

I know that a lot of kids are more closer to their moms because of the fact that dads are more known to discipline the kids. But I believe, given a chance, fathers are as great as mothers are. They are also capable of taking care of the kids.

Fathers are awesome. I do agree that girls tend to be closer to their mothers, cause they do girly things together, but boys tend to be closer to their fathers cause they do boy-y things together? heh. Either way, both parents are awesome.

My youngest daughter resides in the state of Maine. And they have some truly good laws that protect both the mother and the father.

Whoever retains primary custody cannot move the children more than 1 and 1/2 hours away without the other parent’s permission.

And then they are subject to pay for the money it cost to get the children back and forth for visits. Shared custody is the norm in that state.

I think they really go along way to protect the children when the and if the parent’s are fighting.

If you should decide to up and move out of state with the children without permission from the other parent then you will be court ordered back to Maine and can arrested.

The only way you can get around any of this is if the other parent is proven unfit or dangerous to the welfare of the child.

It’s the first state that I had ever heard of having such stiff regulation.

I am close to my daughter right now, and she is 14. I have heard that it is because she is a female and I am showing her how to treat my wife (her mother), so that she will grow up to have healthy relationships with men. I also let he know every day that I love her and value her as a person. I think all Dads should let their daughters know how much they love them, and that their worth should be about who they are and not what they look like.
